REVIEWS

The tragedy of our past as a country and as a world, it just feels so much closer than what it does on a daily basis so it makes a lot more sense while we're still fighting for certain things in certain rights because the world was fucked up for a long time people were being exploited and I mean it is very sad but the timeline of everything Helps bring all of that like the picture the big picture together so yeah this book was really good. Thank you for making it and being a part of history.

The writer authentically shares her innermost thoughts and feelings. While creating space within her book to allow the reader to share their thoughts on the topic as well. This book challenges and allows you to wrestle with a variety of topics that are core to humanity. In closing I highly recommend, purchasing this book.

I had the pleasure of reading Assia Lau'ren's first book "I Am Not a Poet" and didn't think her latest book "Exclusivity" could top it, but boy was I wrong. I thoroughly enjoy her writing style as she makes it feel like a personal conversation between you and her. Many times I found her writing the thoughts I never said out loud and that was refreshing. This book is a must read...thank me later!

I love a book that gets me thinking. This author successfully presented us with thought provoking conversations and thoughts while encouraging us to add to the dialogue. This book can be read from start to finish but is even more satisfying of an experience when you utilize the write-in portion. I'd encourage anyone to purchase this book and tap in with themselves unapologetically.

This book is more than a book it’s life. Life rapped up in a few words on a few pages. It’s a reminder to care for u first and more than others. I love this book cause there is no pressure to finish fast cause it gives u space to reflect on every other page. Honestly a beautiful book

A MESSAGE FROM ASSIA

My love for books started when I was a kid, with the scholastic book fairs and the accelerated reader program at my elementary school.  My mom took notice and started taking me to Borders - I'd hideout between the shelves, while she enjoyed her Starbucks.  It was pure heaven.

Bookstores have always been the birthplace for so much of my imagination and inspiration. Yes, I sell my books here on my website, but I also work my butt off to get my books in bookstores where they can reach people who also want to be inspired by aesthetically pleasing shelves of books. Please keep shopping in person, because bookstores are vital to our communities.

My books can be found in the following bookstores:

Los Angeles, CA

Sunny's Bookshop (Tarzana)

Village Well (Culver City)

Hennessey+Ingalls (DTLA)

Chevalier's Books (Larchmont Village)

Barnes & Noble (Studio City)

The Pop-Hop Books Co-op (Highland Park)
